Printable PromptPay QR Sign Maker

A PromptPay sign is a printable card with your shop's Thai QR Payment code. Enter your PromptPay number or Biller ID, add an optional fixed amount, and download a high-contrast A4, A5 or A6 table-tent sign as a free PDF or PNG. It also shows the account name customers should see, and you can register the sign for free so customers can check at qrloom.app/v/your-sign-ID whether the QR was swapped.

5. Verified sign(optional)

Register this sign so customers can check its payment QR hasn’t been covered by a fake sticker. The sign gets a sign ID and a verify link (qrloom.app/v/…). Customers open it, scan the QR on the sign, and see straight away whether it matches what you registered.

We store a fingerprint of your QR and the last 4 digits so customers can check it. Never your full PromptPay number or account.

The sign is built in your browser. Your PromptPay details are only sent to our server if you register the sign, and then we keep just a fingerprint of the QR and the last 4 digits.

Why your payment sign should show the account name

A common scam at Thai markets and shops is a fake QR sticker pasted over the real one, so customers pay a stranger instead of you. The most useful habit is for customers to check the account name in their bank app before they confirm. This sign prints the name they should see, plus the last four digits of your PromptPay ID, so they can compare in seconds.

Verified signs: let customers spot a swapped QR sticker

Sign in (free) and choose "Register this sign". Your sign gets an ID such as QL-7K3M9P, the line "Check this sign at qrloom.app/v/QL-7K3M9P" and a small verify QR, clearly labelled "not for payment" and placed well away from the payment QR. Customers open the verify page and scan the payment QR on the sign: green means it is the code you registered, red means it does not match and may be a sticker over your real code. The payment QR stays a standard PromptPay code, so every banking app pays from it exactly as before.

How to make a PromptPay QR sign

Type your shop name and your PromptPay phone number or citizen ID (or your Biller ID if you use bill payment). Scan the QR with your own bank app and copy the account name exactly as it appears. Pick a size and colour, then download the PDF and print. Always test-scan the printed sign before you put it up.

Which size should I print?

A4 suits a wall or shop front where customers stand further away. A5 fits a counter or a picture frame. The A6 table tent prints on A5 and folds in half into a two-sided stand for restaurant tables. Print at 100% (Actual size) so the sign comes out at the right physical size.

Tourist, donation and taxi signs

Pick one of four sign types: the shop sign, a tourist-friendly sign (Thai / English / Chinese), an e-Donation sign for temples and foundations, and a fare & tip sign for taxi and tuk-tuk drivers. If your bank already gave you a merchant QR or an e-Donation QR, choose "Use my bank’s QR" and upload a screenshot: it is decoded on your device, checked as a valid Thai QR, and printed on the sign exactly as your bank made it. The tourist sign only mentions Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay once you confirm your bank told you your QR supports them.

Your details stay on your device

The sign and the QR code are built in your browser. Unless you register the sign, your PromptPay number, ID or Biller ID is never sent to our servers. If you do register, we keep only a fingerprint of the QR and its last four digits so customers can check it, never the full number. The code is a standard Thai QR Payment code, so money goes straight to your account and never passes through QRLoom.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the PromptPay sign maker free?

Yes. No account needed, and you can make and download as many PDF or PNG signs as you like. Signs made on a free account carry a small "Made with QRLoom" line at the bottom; Pro members can hide it.

How do I protect my stall from fake QR stickers?

No sign can make it impossible, but you can cut the risk a lot: use a sign that shows the account name so customers can compare, put it behind acrylic or laminate it, check it every morning and before closing, turn on incoming-payment alerts in your bank app, and ask customers to check the name before they pay. If you register the sign, customers can open qrloom.app/v/your-sign-ID and scan the QR to see straight away whether it was swapped. Anyone can check any QR at qrloom.app/check.

How does sign verification work?

When you register, we compute a fingerprint (SHA-256) of the payment QR data and store it with a sign ID, your shop name and the last four digits. On the verify page, the customer’s browser computes the same fingerprint from the QR they scan and sends only that for comparison. If someone pasted their own QR over yours, the fingerprints differ and the page shows a red warning telling them not to pay and to tell the shop. Registration is free and you can revoke a sign at any time under "My registered signs".

Does a registered sign stop every scam?

No. It catches the common trick of a QR sticker pasted over your sign. It can’t stop someone replacing the whole sign, sign ID included, or registering a fake sign under another shop’s name, because QRLoom can’t confirm who owns a bank account. That’s why the verify page shows the registration date and last four digits, and why customers should always check the account name in their bank app before confirming.

What account name should I put on the sign?

Exactly what the bank app shows when someone scans your code. Some banks shorten the name or show it in English. The easiest way is to scan the QR with your own phone and copy what you see. Leave it empty to get a blank line you can fill in by hand.

Can I put a fixed amount on the sign?

Yes. It suits single-price items such as parking, toilets or a one-price menu: customers scan and the amount is already filled in. If you sell at different prices, leave it empty and customers type the amount in their app.

The printed sign won't scan. What should I check?

Make sure you printed at 100% scale and did not shrink it, use matte paper to avoid glare, keep the sign flat and dry, and test with a real bank app before putting it up. The QR is printed black on white for the best scan rate.

Can this sign accept Alipay or WeChat Pay?

That depends on the QR, not the sign. The Bank of Thailand announced on 30 October 2025 that Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay users can pay merchant Thai QR codes issued by participating banks. If your bank confirms your merchant QR supports it, use the "Tourist-friendly" sign with that QR. A PromptPay QR you generate from a phone number isn’t covered by that announcement, so don’t tell customers you take Alipay until your bank says so.

Can I use a Biller ID on the sign?

Yes. Choose "Bill payment" and enter your 15-digit Biller ID and Reference 1 (plus Reference 2 if your bank requires it). The sign then uses a Bill Payment QR that your bank can reconcile automatically. See the PromptPay bill payment QR page for details.
